What are the best resorts in Bohol and Panglao? The fact that these islands are two of the most visited in the Philippines has a big upside: you’ll find a wide variety of high‑end accommodation at much better prices than in other spots like Siargao or El Nido. Plus, as we explain in Where to stay in Bohol, you can choose from loads of areas, from the beach itself to the heart of the island beside a lush river.
In this article you’ll find a handpicked selection of the best resorts in Bohol and Panglao. As we always do, we’ll first focus on their location, which is particularly important here given how large both islands are. Then we’ll go into each one, highlighting price, service, facilities, and decor.
To make things easier, we’ve grouped them by whether they’re in Bohol or Panglao. At the end you’ll see a map where you can pinpoint the Bohol resort that best fits what you’re after.
The Bohol resort that suits you: how to choose
Beach? Inland? Lots of restaurants? Zero tourism? One of the things we love about Bohol is the huge variety of activities it offers. It’s one of the biggest islands in the Philippines and, honestly, you could spend weeks discovering corners beyond the famous ones. For all these reasons, your Bohol resort’s location is essential. To sum it up a bit:
- Panglao: an island linked to Bohol by two bridges and home to the airport. It’s the most developed area for tourism—especially around Alona Beach—packed with hotels, restaurants, and shops. Our tip is to pick a resort in Panglao if you’re here to dive or if you want show‑stopping beachfront hotels. Since we know you don’t like crowds, you’ll find a selection below of the best Panglao resorts in quiet locations. From here you can also take day trips to explore the island’s interior.
- Loboc: the heart of Bohol and a small town that’s slowly seeing more visitors, though most don’t stay to see it at night. There are several super‑cool riverside hotels with the same name as the river, giving you a radically different experience. Around Loboc you’ve also got some nice waterfalls and, of course, the famous Chocolate Hills. Catching sunrise or sunset from there is a privilege you can enjoy if you choose a resort in Loboc.
- Anda: a little town on the island’s far east that many end up falling for. Worlds away from Alona Beach, its shores can more than hold their own, though you won’t find the same tourist infrastructure. Choose it if you want to get off the beaten path. From here you can also take a trip to Loboc and the Chocolate Hills and cool off at Can‑Umantad Falls, the best waterfalls in Bohol.
Our advice is to read up on what you can do in each of these areas and see which Bohol resort matches what you expect from the island.
If you have 4 nights or more, a great idea is to split your stay in two: Panglao + Loboc or Panglao + Anda. That way you’ll avoid long transfers and enjoy two totally different vibes. In fact, you could go from Panglao to Anda via Loboc in a car with driver and miss nothing. Leave us a comment and we can share the perfect contact.
By the way, with so much accommodation on offer, unless you’re visiting in a peak period (Easter, Christmas, or Chinese New Year), you’ll find excellent prices at resorts in Bohol and Panglao. Book ahead to grab even better discounts.

Best resorts in Panglao
We’ll start our selection of the best resorts in Bohol and Panglao with the latter. If you’ve checked out our Panglao Guide, you’ll have noticed how important it is. Being connected to Bohol, having beautiful beaches, and solid tourist infrastructure, many travelers decide to base themselves here.
As you’ll see below, there are some spectacular resorts in Panglao. Set right on the beach, you’ll have no trouble finding that dream beachfront villa, infinity‑style pools, and five‑star service. Most are in very quiet areas, away from the excesses of Alona Beach, so don’t worry about “Panglao is too touristy”. Here’s the top 3:
Oceanica Resort Panglao
We don’t think there’s any debate: the best beach in Panglao is Dumaluan Beach. So we had to kick off this list of the best resorts in Panglao and Bohol with Oceanica Resort, set on the loveliest stretch of this white‑sand beach lined with elegant palms.
Oceanica Resort Panglao offers stunning beachfront villas for those wanting to splash out, as well as simpler rooms that have everything you need at friendlier prices. The resort has several restaurants, a beach bar (with happy hour), a pool, spa, gym, and a water‑sports area in case you fancy renting a kayak and exploring part of the island that way.
As for the location, Dumaluan Beach is just 15–20 minutes by motorbike or tricycle from famous Alona Beach. So you’ll have quick access to the area’s many restaurants while enjoying the peace of falling asleep to the sound of the waves. Sound good? Don’t hesitate and book this Panglao resort early.

Amorita Resort
Amorita is one of the best resorts in Panglao and also among the country’s most prestigious, so don’t be surprised if you spot someone from the local jet‑set. Set on one end of Alona Beach but perched on a cliff (and all the tranquility that brings), spectacular ocean views are guaranteed from many of its 98 luxurious rooms. With a minimalist aesthetic dominated by light tones, you can choose between the simpler garden‑view rooms, sea‑view suites, or villas with private pool.
The resort lacks nothing. It has four restaurants, one of them serving tapas for a taste of home, two infinity‑style pools, a gym, a spa, free yoga classes, paddle boards, and a small private beach. It’s run by the well‑known One‑Of Collection hotel group, which means true five‑star service just 10 minutes from the airport and close to all Panglao services. A can’t‑miss option to wow your partner or family.

Bohol Beach Club
The third of the best resorts in Panglao—and one we recommend if you’re searching for Bohol resorts—is Bohol Beach Club. Located right next to Oceanica Resort, on Dumaluan Beach, it boasts a prime beachfront location lined with coconut trees and overlooking turquoise waters.
The BBC has 88 rooms split into 80 Deluxe Rooms and 8 Beachview Suites. As the names suggest, the former overlook the pool, while from the latter you can gaze at Bohol’s gorgeous sea right from your bed. All are super‑spacious, with a terrace and modern furnishings including a safe, minibar, and TV.
Still, the best thing about this Bohol resort is the facilities. Beyond the pool, gym, restaurant, and dive center, the beach area is pristine and full of wonderful loungers to relax on while you admire that dreamy turquoise sea. On certain days of the week they also offer free yoga classes with those views. Travelers consistently rave about the service. With a 9.1 rating, you can’t go wrong!
Besides having the very best value for money, we can say from our own experience that the hotel is fantastic. The restaurant has great prices (vegan and vegetarian options included), massages are just €6–7 in cabanas right on the beach, and everything is impeccably kept. Whether it’s for a special occasion or because you want to stay on the beach during your time in Bohol, you won’t regret it. We stayed here for our birthdays and anniversary and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Best resorts in Bohol: Loboc
If you want to focus on inland Bohol, we recommend spending a couple of nights in Loboc. This small town sits in the middle of the island and, although it’s still very underdeveloped for tourism, it has everything you need to enjoy it—especially if you pick a good resort where you’re comfortable and can soak up those all‑important river views.
As you’ll see, at the moment there are few hotels that could be considered resorts in Loboc. Most accommodation is basic, which is why we’re spotlighting the most interesting one that had to be on this list of the best resorts in Bohol. At the end of this section you’ll find more tips, and you can read further in Where to stay in Loboc.
Loboc River Resort
If you need one of the best resorts in Bohol amid a stunning natural setting that isn’t the beach, look no further than Loboc River Resort. Located right by the river of the same name, you can admire the exotic jungle along its banks from your room. In the best rooms you can even do it while soaking in a relaxing outdoor tub.
The resort has 35 rooms across two types: the Native Collection and the Premier Collection. All have everything you need for a comfortable stay: air‑conditioning, TV, and a modern bathroom. As for facilities, you can enjoy a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the river, a restaurant (we loved the food!), and a riverside jetty in case you want to go out by kayak/paddle board or simply swim. Of course, they arrange all kinds of tours, transfers, and motorbike rental.
Guests who book one of the Premier Collection rooms also get access to a more exclusive, private area that includes a Jungle Pool, a lounge, and a bar.
Best of all? Unlike other Bohol resorts—perhaps because it’s in a place that’s still relatively unknown—prices are considerably more reasonable for the quality on offer. If you want to treat yourself a little, book here and you won’t regret it.

Best resorts in Bohol: Anda
Finally, to round off this list of Bohol resorts, we couldn’t leave out beautiful Anda. Here you’ll find some of the best beaches in Bohol, which rival those of Panglao.
Anda town is still a small, low‑rise, pleasantly quiet place. Even so, most resorts line the coast heading west. Don’t worry if you’re not right in the “center”; you’ll find motorelas for little money to take you wherever you like. We’ve focused on resorts here, but you’ll find even more places to stay in Where to stay in Anda.
Casa Amihan
Amihan is one of the seasonal winds that define the Philippine climate. Typically associated with the dry season or “summer”, it brings serenity and calm to much of the archipelago. That’s exactly what you’ll feel if you stay at this Bohol resort near Anda, set on a small private beach.
With a style that’s a tiny bit reminiscent of Greece, almost all rooms (except the family ones) have direct sea views and a small terrace where you can enjoy fantastic breakfasts. If you fancy, you can also do so at the small restaurant next to the pool.

Amun Ini Beach Resort & Spa
How does it sound to wake up and start the day on a private beach? That—and much more—is what you’ll get at one of the best and most luxurious Bohol resorts. Service is up to the standard, but perhaps the most impressive feature is the infinity pool overlooking the turquoise sea that defines this part of the island.
Perched on a small hill, all the spacious rooms have sea views and a small terrace. Of course, they also come with every comfort: air‑conditioning, minibar, TV, Wi‑Fi, and a very modern bathroom.
If you’ve come for diving in the Philippines, you’ll be glad to know the resort’s dive center is among the best‑rated on the island. Why? VIP service (they’ll even greet you with hot towels after a dive…) and access to 33 dive sites within a 15‑minute range, where you can see big schools of fish as well as “rare” critters like blue‑ringed octopuses and mandarin fish.
Amun Ini is about five minutes by tricycle from Anda town; if you don’t feel like going out, no worries—you can dine at the restaurant and then drop by the spa. Take a look at the photo below and start picturing yourself there with the sound of the waves.

Three Little Birds Resort
The last on this list of Bohol resorts is a great alternative if you want to be close to Anda town, stay in a place with charm, and also keep costs down—the value for money at the Three Little Birds Resort is excellent.
You can stay in one of the seven cottages built in traditional Filipino style, but with resort‑level comforts. All are surrounded by lush greenery and have a small terrace overlooking the pool. What we like most is the simple decor that makes use of local materials. If you’re traveling as a family, pick one of the two two‑storey bungalows for more space.
As for location, while it’s not directly on the beach, this resort sits just 60 meters from White Beach, one of the area’s prettiest stretches of sand. At low tide you can walk to Quinale Beach and be in the town center in about 10 minutes. If you don’t feel like going out at some point, that’s fine too—they’ve got a restaurant with very reasonable prices.
On top of all that, the owners and staff are incredibly friendly and always ready with suggestions to help you make the most of your stay.
