  • Old Enchanted Balete Tree: The “Old Enchanted Balete Tree” is a classic visit in Siquijor. Very easy to access, as it is right next to the road, its more than 400 years of age have given rise to beliefs of all kinds. Whether true or not, it is a sight worth seeing where, in addition, you can dip your feet and “enjoy” a natural spa through the little nibbles given by the fish on your feet.
  • Cambugahay Falls: Cambugahay Falls is one of the most sought-after photos and experiences in Siquijor. Its three levels of waterfalls and natural pools ensure an idyllic setting with turquoise waters surrounded by palm trees. For those looking for stronger emotions, there are different points to jump from and ropes to launch yourself from in Tarzan mode.
  • Cantabon Cave: Do you want to discover the depths of Siquijor? Cantabon Cave is a network of almost one kilometer that will take you to see stalagmites, stalactites, and peculiar rock formations. Mind you, remember to bring a swimsuit and suitable footwear, because you won’t escape getting soaked.
  • Beaches of Siquijor: There are many worthwhile beaches: Compass Beach, Secret Beach, Paliton Beach… But, if you are looking for the famous cliff jumping one, you will have to head to Salagdoong Beach.

SIQUIJOR BEST BEACHES

You may have heard of Siquijor’s waterfalls, its caves, its mystical magic, and its hilots. Even how wonderful it is to travel from top to bottom on a motorbike totally at your own pace. But what about the beaches? Some will tell you that Siquijor’s beaches aren’t worth it, but surely they haven’t looked much further than what is seen from the hotel a stone’s throw away.

APO ISLAND TOUR FROM SIQUIJOR

Apo Island is another jewel of the Philippines, both for diving lovers and for those who opt for snorkeling. The reason? In addition to a beautiful and varied seabed, it has a large colony of turtles that are easily visible even from the shore.

How to get to Siquijor

HOW TO GET TO SIQUIJOR

One of the factors that lead many travelers to include this island in their route through the country is how extremely easy it is to get to it. One of the most typical routes is usually aboard the ferry that leaves at 08:00 from Cebu and, after making a quick stop in Bohol, sets off again to reach Siquijor.

If you are near Dumaguete, it will be much faster, more comfortable, and cheaper to take one of the direct ferries that leave from there and arrive at the destination in less than an hour.

  • Getting around Siquijor: The most comfortable way to explore Siquijor is by driving your own motorbike. If you rent it for 3 or more days you can get them from 300 pesos/day. In case you don’t drive, you can negotiate with a tricycle to take you to see the points that interest you most for approximately 1000 pesos a day.
  • How many days: We recommend that you dedicate 3 full days to Siquijor island to quietly enjoy beaches, caves, waterfalls, and everything it has to offer you.
