Where to stay in Coron? The number of hotels ihere has been growing in line with the number of travelers who decide to visit this paradise in the Philippines. There are many things to do in Coron! Therefore, you won’t have trouble finding all kinds of places to stay in Coron, from hostels where you can save a bit and meet other travelers to luxury resorts.

There are several aspects you need to consider when choosing your accommodation in Coron. The first is booking ahead. Although it’s true that the number of hotels in the area has grown a bit in recent years, Coron’s popularity has grown even more, so as of today (2025) it’s QUITE difficult to find places with good value for money if you look at the last minute. Therefore, our advice is to try to book as soon as possible. Seriously, even 1–2 weeks before and you’ll already struggle to find something decent that isn’t sky‑high.

We’re not just saying it—we’ve had a really hard time finding accommodation around here… We like to improvise, but in this case (and in El Nido and Port Barton) we really can’t recommend it at all.

On the other hand, as we already mentioned when telling you how to get to Coron, most travelers choose to stay in Coron Town, the main town on Busuanga Island. However, you won’t find the idyllic postcards you dream of in this town—they’re on the island across the water, Coron Island. If you’re a bit confused, we’re now going to tell you about the best areas to stay in Coron.

Where to stay in Coron: areas and tips

The first variable you need to analyze about accommodation in Coron is the area where you want to stay.

Unlike what happens when deciding where to stay in El Nido, most hotels in Coron are concentrated in the town of Coron Town and its surroundings. Here you can find accommodation for all kinds of budgets. However, if you’re looking for something more special, there are also options on nearby islands.

Let’s break down the best areas to stay in Coron:

a) Coron Town

This is Coron’s nerve center and where most accommodation is located. You’ll find lots of restaurants, bars, travel agencies and also the port from which the boats leave for Coron Island and the rest of the nearby islands, usually visited on island‑hopping tours.

There is no beach in Coron Town; instead there’s a mangrove area and a pleasant seafront promenade where you can grab an ice cream and watch the sunset (if you don’t believe us, check the sunset in the photo below). Staying in the center can be a bit noisy, but you’ll find places to sleep that you can reach on foot in 5 or 10 minutes and that will guarantee a better night’s rest.

In addition, tricycle rides around Coron Town and its surroundings are very inexpensive. So if you find a hotel in Coron a little away from the center, it’s normal not to pay more than 50 or 100 pesos to get there. You can also get around town for 10 pesos in a tricycle—that’s the price for a “line” ride.

We’re going to give you lots of suggestions below, but from our many visits here, we highly recommend THIS LITTLE HOTEL, where we’ve stayed for up to 2 weeks in a row.

views from Coron Town

b) Other islands

As in El Nido, in Coron you’ll also find some resorts on islands more or less close to Coron Town. Room prices here tend to be higher, but they also enjoy lovely beaches and views. On top of that cost, you need to add food (usually more expensive due to the remoteness) and private tours, which are often pricier as you have to arrange them through the hotel itself. Even so, you’ll see these are truly special places for a unique vacations or if you’re going on your honeymoon in the Philippines.

c) Other corners of Busuanga: Concepcion, Salvacion and Ocam Ocam Beach

Busuanga is a huge island and it’s not all about Coron Town. On our latest stays in the area, we decided to discover Concepcion and from there we spent a few days of beautiful island hopping. From its port we went to Pass Island, Maltatayoc, North Cay… We also hopped on the motorbike, made our way to Ocam Ocam Beach and visited the spectacular Black Island.

Concepcion is 45 minutes to 1 hour from Coron Town, reachable by van (250 pesos) or motorbike (500 pesos per day), and it’s a hyper‑mega‑ultra quiet village. It basically has 1 street, 3 hostels and 2 restaurants, nothing more. And that was precisely what we liked most. We spent a week of total relaxation.

Salvacion is about 90 minutes from Coron Town and therefore closer to Ocam Ocam and Black Island. It’s bigger than Concepcion and has a bit more choice of restaurants and hotels. From here we’ve also been able to do other tours and, in addition, it was our base to swim with dugongs. Here we strongly recommend THIS HOTEL.

Finally, Ocam Ocam Beach is a beach on the west of Busuanga that stole our hearts. When we arrived we had that feeling from our first trips around the Philippines 14 years ago. Although the sand isn’t fine or white (it’s a bit coarser and blond), the place is idyllic. Barely developed, there are very cheap little huts on the beach and a couple of restaurants. If you like this vibe, this is your spot! Check THIS HOTEL and tell us ; ) Keep in mind it’s 2 hours from Coron Town and there’s no public transport—you’ll have to rely on a motorbike or arrange a transfer (pricey).

Below we’ll share our accommodation suggestions in this area of Busuanga.

So, ultimately, where to stay in Coron?

After 7 visits to Busuanga, we can tell you clearly:

  • If you have little time (2–3 days), it’s best to stick to the basic island‑hopping tours (Ultimate and Escapade), so it’s better to stay in Coron Town or nearby. Recommended hotel: THIS ONE.
  • If you have more time (4–5 days or more), you could split your stay between Concepcion/Salvacion and Coron Town. From Concepcion you can visit Pass Island, Ocam Ocam Beach and Black Island, getting a comprehensive Busuanga experience.
  • If you’re looking for something truly special because you have the budget or you’re on your honeymoon, any hotel on one of the Calamian Islands will delight you. You’ll have to accept a higher cost for island‑hopping, but that feeling of being on a lost island is unbeatable. For example, Discovery Coron is top‑tier.

Got it more or less clear? Keep reading and we’ll tell you about our favorite places to stay in Coron and Busuanga in general.

Best hostels in Coron Town – TOP hostels

If you’re traveling around the Philippines on a tight budget or want to meet people, a great way to stay in Coron is in hostels. You’ll find this type of accommodation with shared and private rooms and common areas to socialize. These are the best hostels in Coron:

Hop Hostel: the best hostel to stay in Coron

We don’t think there’s much debate. If you’re looking for the best hostel to stay in Coron because you want a bit of atmosphere, TOP facilities and, on top of that, to be in the center, this is your place. With a large building in a style we could call “Greek”, it has a lovely pool and great views of Coron Town and its bay, especially from the rooftop, which possibly has the best bar in town and from which you can enjoy the most epic sunsets.

The hostel has double and quadruple rooms if you’re traveling as a couple or with friends, but also shared dorms for 6, 8 and 12 people, some female‑only. The beds are super comfy and, in the dorms, each has its own outlet and reading light, as well as curtains for extra privacy. Of course, there are also lockers to store your valuables. All rooms have air conditioning.

The common areas are also very cool, including a kitchen, a cinema room and, of course, the pool and rooftop. As you can imagine, there are tons of activities to meet other travelers. Prices from 11$ per night—kinda pricey for a hostel, but we promise it’s one of the best places to stay in Coron. Note the minimum stay is 2 nights.

Happy Camper Hostel

Good wifi! What seems impossible to find in the Philippines is exactly what you get at this hostel in Coron. Located next to the center, this little house has an 8‑bed room with fairly comfortable single beds, a fan for each and lockers. If you want more comfort, there’s also an air‑conditioned dorm, and couples can also stay in the new rooms with a double bed and private bathroom, which is great.

The owner, John, is the best thing about the hostel—he’s super friendly. Beds start from 9$ and include breakfast (coffee and pandesal). Plus, the common areas are nice and there’s even a small kitchen. For us, it’s one of the best places to stay in Coron, at reasonable prices and perfect for those who want to socialize a bit.

Dayon Hostel

Located a 10‑minute walk from the port (or 10 pesos by tricycle), this is our favorite hostel to stay in Coron. If you can’t be bothered to walk at night, there are lots of nearby restaurants and even a small kitchen where you can make something simple or save on breakfast.

Facilities are brand‑new and include dorms for 6 and 12 people (mixed and female‑only) with air conditioning and lockers. They also have rooms with a single bunk bed for just 2 people, in case you’re looking for more privacy. The terrace is great for meeting people and ending the day with a cold San Miguel. Prices are around 8$ per bed.

More hostels in Coron

The above are the coolest in our experience, but here are other alternatives to consider:

  • Joval Homestay: from just 7$ per bed per night. It’s a very homely and pleasant place. Have a look from this link.
  • Avisala Hostel Coron: not so central, but super modern for the 10$ the bed costs. Highly recommended. Book here.
  • BAMBAM Hostel: in the heart of Coron and perfect if you want “action”. You can take a look here.
  • Outpost Hostel: one of the most famous hostels in Coron thanks to its pool. It’s true that it’s farther from everything, but if you want a vibe, a pool and a restaurant, this is your place. Book now from this link.

Best budget hotels in Coron – TOP budget hotels

If you don’t want to pay too much but want to be comfortable and have a private room with your own bathroom, check out these cheap hotels in Coron with good value for money:

DK’s Inn

Located in a very quiet area of Coron Town, we think this guesthouse is one of those with the best value for money. From 26$ per night you’ll get a spotless double room with air conditioning, fan, TV, private bathroom and Wi‑Fi—but the best part is the owners (Maricar and Daniel), who are lovely. They’ll help you with things like laundry or motorbike rental.

It’s a comfortable hotel in Coron whether you’re traveling as a couple, family or with friends, as it has triple and quadruple rooms that are quite spacious and, as we say, affordably priced. They also offer breakfast for about 180 pesos, which isn’t bad at all.

Hiraya Homestay

If what you want is a cheap place to stay in Coron without worrying too much about decorations, but in a good location and with friendly staff, then what you need is Hiraya Homestay. Here you have rooms from 15$ a night that are small, with a shared bathroom but very clean and, above all, the care of a Filipino family that will make you feel at home. If you want air conditioning—which we recommend given the size—it goes up to 23$, but we think it’s still more than affordable for a guesthouse where everything works very well and which has, no more and no less, a score of 9 on Booking.

Plus, if you want to save, you can use the kitchen to make breakfast or a simple meal. They even leave free coffee/tea and bread every morning.

Bella Vita Guesthouse

The best thing about this place to stay in Coron is its owner, Jolinne, who makes you feel at home and helps with everything possible to make your stay great. You only have to read other travelers’ comments, who give it almost a 10 on Booking.

The house is located about 15 minutes from town, which costs about 60 pesos by tricycle, but it’s worth it for the cleanliness and tranquility of the place. Double rooms with bathroom are around 24$ and include breakfast. Highly recommended!

Maicaellas Transient Room

Jorge Transient House

While the location isn’t amazing because it’s farther from the center, you can easily reach restaurants on foot or by tricycle for just 20 pesos. This is more than compensated by everything else. It’s a quiet place with super friendly staff, simple but clean rooms and a free water tank for guests. If you’re traveling in a group or as a family, you’ll be glad to know there are rooms for up to 8 people at an irresistible price.

We also couldn’t leave it out of this list of hotels in Coron because for just 22$ per night you get a double with bathroom and breakfast included. It’ll be hard to find anything better!

Argamosa Bayside Inn

On one of our visits to Coron, we stayed at Bay Area Lodge (we highly recommend it) for many days—so many that at one point we wanted to extend and they no longer had any rooms left. For that reason we literally went to the one we could see from the window. Argamosa Bayside Inn is a small but pleasant building in the heart of Coron Town, but in a fairly quiet part, so we spent some comfortable days there.

Rooms are small, but they’re clean and have everything: air conditioning, hot water, TV… It also has a pretty outdoor area and the room price isn’t bad: 26-30$ with breakfast included. The family who runs it is also very nice. In short, an option we think is pretty good and that’s why we recommend it.

Other cheap and interesting places to stay in Coron

If the ones above don’t convince you or are already full, these cheap hotels in Coron might appeal to you:

  • Harbour Bliss Coron: from just 23$ per night and you get super modern rooms. It’s not central, but honestly the value for money is very good. Take a look from this link.
  • Divine Castle Travelers Inn: it won’t be the most luxurious room you’ll ever stay in, but for 18$ you get a very decent place to sleep in Coron with air conditioning. Book here.
  • Ahras Place: we stayed here shortly after it opened. It’s at the start of town, so you can walk everywhere. It’s nothing to write home about, but for the price (about 21$ for a double with breakfast) we think it can be a good option. Book from this link.
  • Aquilah Homestay: a bit out of the way for our taste, but it still offers excellent value for money. From 20$ a night. See it here.

Mid-range hotels in Coron

If you can step up the category a bit, we recommend considering these places to stay in Coron, with rooms in the 27$-45$ range.

Bay Area Lodge, one of the best cheap places to stay in Coron

For various twists of fate, we’ve ended up spending up to 3 weeks at this hotel in Coron and, not tired of it, we went back—so we can say with complete confidence that it’s one of the best you’ll find in the area, especially after the big price increases we’ve seen for accommodation. With that, before you keep reading, we encourage you to take a look to see if there are rooms available.

Bay Area Lodge is on Coron’s main street, making it ideal both for island-hopping and for going out to dinner. It has 10 rooms: some family rooms, some triples and others doubles. We’ve tried them all and they’re really comfortable whichever you choose. The upstairs ones are quieter and more spacious, with partial sea views, but in any case they all have air conditioning and a fan, satellite TV, a modern bathroom and, surprisingly, one of the best internet connections we’ve had in Busuanga.

The most basic rooms are around 27-34$, but include a pretty complete breakfast (there are several options) served in their restaurant. By the way, if you don’t feel like going out to dinner one day, it’s a pretty handy option.

Acacia Garden Inn

If you want to stay at one of the best hotels in Coron, hurry! Acacia Garden is one of our favorites and it’s usually full, so we recommend booking as soon as possible. Located about a 15-minute walk from the center (5 by tricycle), this newly built hotel has all the comforts to enjoy Coron without paying too much.

The rooms are clean and very well equipped with TV, air conditioning and hot water (with incredible water pressure for the Philippines). Double room prices are around 32$ and include breakfast (pretty decent). They have free coffee, tea and water 24 hours a day, and the Wi‑Fi works well! Best of all, they’ve recently opened a pool.

You can read much more about our experience in Staying at Acacia Garden Inn.

The Ridge Coron

If Bay Area Lodge is full, we would go for The Ridge Coron. Why? Because from 40$ per night you get a modern, spacious and clean double room with a great breakfast included, which you can enjoy on your terrace. For a little more you can choose one with sea views, which will make your stay in Coron even more special.

The staff are lovely and, although it’s not far from the center (just a 10‑minute walk), they have a free tricycle service that takes you to Coron Town when you want to go for dinner or start your tours. They also offer motorbike rental if you need it. Everything works well at this hotel and we’ll definitely choose it again when we return to Coron.

  • Charms Hotel: with a pool, halfway between budget hotel and resort depending on dates. From 35$ with pool. Book from this link.
  • Venus Royale Hotel: not the most central location, but you can reach the center for just 30 pesos per person, and its rooms are modern and comfortable for only 50$ per night with breakfast and a pool. Take a look here.
  • Island Wanderers Inn: like the previous one, the location doesn’t wow, but if you don’t mind taking tricycles, you get a good room for 39$ with breakfast and a pool. Seriously, check it from this link.

Best resorts around Coron Town – TOP resorts

If you’re looking for a hotel in Coron with more comforts—a pool to cool off in after island hopping and a place to relax—then a resort in Coron is what you need. Here we tell you which are the best resorts to stay in Coron, but you’ll find more details and options in Best resorts in Coron:

La Natura Resort

Located inland on Busuanga Island, this resort is ideal if you want absolute tranquility and to be surrounded by nature. It’s a 15‑minute drive from Coron Town along somewhat rough roads, but the facilities and rooms make the trip worth it. If you can’t be bothered to go out for dinner, don’t worry, they have a pretty decent restaurant with good food and tasty cocktails.

The rooms are huge and very well equipped. There’s also an ideal pool surrounded by tropical greenery that you’ll fall in love with. Double rooms are around 68$, a bit high, but it’s truly a place that’s worth it. The family who runs it is lovely and will help you have a 10/10 stay. And, speaking of numbers, it’s not for nothing they have a score of almost 9,3 on Booking—TOP!

The Funny Lion – Coron

Infinity‑style pool, restaurant and jacuzzi with sweeping views? This is one of the best places to stay in Coron if you want to treat yourself and enjoy maximum comforts. This ultra‑modern hotel is a 3‑minute tricycle ride from Coron Town, in an idyllic spot. We’re 100% sure you’ll love the sunsets from the bar while sipping a cocktail—promise!

The rooms are spectacular and the service more than lives up to it. Double room prices are around 99$ and include a hefty continental breakfast. As in the previous case, if you can’t be bothered to go out for dinner, you don’t need to worry either, as they have a very nice restaurant with reasonably priced dishes. Truly, one of the best hotels in Coron whether you’re traveling as a couple or with family and want to feel comfortable after the tours.

Bacau Bay Resort Coron

Very close to the previous one and with similar standards, this newly built hotel has spectacular views of the mangroves of Bacau Bay, where sunsets are to die for. Rooms are huge, with all the services and facilities you’d expect from a hotel of this category. Breakfast is fantastic, too. Prices start at 104$ per night with breakfast included.

If you don’t want to worry about anything, they have a jetty from which their island excursions depart. They’re a bit more expensive than in town, so you can also go to the center in just 5 minutes and arrange them yourself—whichever you prefer!

Need more resort suggestions in Coron? Have a look at:

  • Two Seasons Coron Bayside: located in central Coron, with a huge pool and some rooms with bay views. The standard room is around 115$ with breakfast included. Book from this link.
  • Asia Grand View: perhaps a bit far from the center, but it more than makes up for it with the feeling of being in the heart of nature. Huge pool, some rooms with sea views… And the price isn’t bad: from 116$ per night with breakfast included. Take a look here.
  • Tag Resort: also located at the entrance to town, this is possibly one of the best hotels in Coron in terms of facilities. It has a spectacular pool, and evenings are fun with live music in the restaurant. Ideal if you’re traveling with family or looking for a cheap resort in Coron because rooms start at 88$ with breakfast. You can book from this link.

Special accommodation in Coron – TOP luxury hotels

If budget isn’t an issue and you want to treat yourself, Coron has options too! Although the offer of luxury hotels in Coron is smaller than in El Nido, here’s a great place to stay in Coron:

Sangat Island Dive Resort

Sangat Island is one of the Calamianes islands and therefore close to Coron Island. With limestone landscapes similar to those of Coron Island and Black Island, it’s halfway between Coron Town and Concepcion, giving you access to everything Busuanga offers.

We recommend this resort if what you want is to combine the area’s incredible diving (they have a dive shop) with island hopping, without sacrificing a day at the beach without having to take any boat, as Sangat Island Dive Resort enjoys an idyllic location, with a lovely strip of blond sand and, just a few steps from the shore, a spectacular reef full of life for snorkeling.

Here you can fulfill your dream of sleeping in a little cabin with sea views. The most basic double rooms start at 245$ and include full board and transfers to Coron airport. It’s relatively expensive, but considering the place, that you don’t have to think about meal prices and how spectacular the cabins are, we think it’s a fantastic hotel for a special experience.

Discovery Coron

Located in the north of Busuanga Island, Discovery Coron (formerly called Club Paradise) is one of those places that makes your trip to the Philippines even more memorable. For us, it’s among the best hotels in Coron, above all because it’s on a private island: Dimakya. White‑sand beaches, a reef right off the shore for snorkeling, a dive shop to visit nearby spots, pool, spa… You couldn’t ask for much more!

The usual island‑hopping tours are a bit far (they’re offered, at higher prices), but you have a gorgeous island called Dumunpalit relatively close, which you can also escape to for a day. We suggest spending 2–3 nights there and then a couple in Coron Town or nearby to get the full experience of the area.

Prices are high, but not as much as you might expect. From 260$ with breakfast included for the rooms facing the “garden”. Obviously, if you want something more special, go for the cabins located right on the beach.

Two Seasons Coron Island Resort & Spa

Located on Bulalacao Island, next to the Bulog Dos sandbar visited on the Escapade Tour, this is a hotel in Coron that’s perfect if you want to spend a few days of total relaxation. Almost all the rooms have sea views and are tastefully decorated. Besides a great beach, there’s a beautiful nearby reef for snorkeling.

The most affordable double rooms are around 466$ and include breakfast. It’s expensive, but if it has a 9,1 out of 10 on Booking from the most demanding travelers, there must be good reasons!

Hotels in Concepción, Salvacion and Ocam Ocam – alternatives in Busuanga

As we told you, we did several different island‑hopping trips from Concepción, but while we were there many people also did the popular Ultimate Tour and Escapade Tour (usually done from Coron Town because it’s closer; you can read more in Island hopping in Coron) simply by leaving the accommodation around 5–6 in the morning. It’s a slog, but if you like to flee the most touristy spots, it can be worth it. Also, if you want to dive the wrecks, keep in mind they’re much closer to Concepcion. For example, the Okikawa is just 10 minutes from the dive centers. We found it super convenient.

In Concepcion, the West Atlantic is great, and in the town itself by the sea there’s Concepcion Divers Lodge (enjoy the magical sunsets) and another very cool one with its own little pool, Sanctuaria Treehouses Busuanga.

If you have more budget, don’t hesitate, because right next door there’s a bay with spectacular hotels such as Marina del Sol and Busuanga Bay Lodge (you can see the photo we took of the infinity pool below). Another phenomenal one, both for facilities and service, is AL FARO Cosmio Palawan. They’ll also help you organize island‑hopping around the area at very competitive prices, almost the same as what the local boatmen offer, making it a very convenient option.

Salvacion is about 90 minutes from Coron Town and therefore closer to Ocam Ocam and Black Island. From here you can do island‑hopping to Maltatayoc, Pass Island and Black Island, and we also went to swim with dugongs using this town as a base. It’s bigger than Concepcion and has a bit more choice of restaurants and hotels. We prefer Concepcion, but you have places as good as Josefina’s Tourist Inn. This is a brand‑new hotel with double and family rooms and a dorm at great prices. We came here after a multi‑day expedition and appreciated it enormously.

In Ocam Ocam (the best beach on Busuanga Island, still very quiet and giving you access to Black Island) you have these super‑cheap little huts, these other even more top‑notch ones and even this “beach house” with a pool right on the sea and all kinds of luxuries.

On the other hand, between Concepcion and Salvacion there’s a very beautiful and secluded beach with some idyllic huts: Alam Indah Busuanga Villas. You access it via stairs that lead directly from the road, and it’s a true paradise where to stay in Coron.
