What are the best resorts in Siargao? The “surf capital” has achieved worldwide fame in just a few years and it’s no surprise to see it on almost every Philippines travel itinerary. Cloud 9 has quickly been joined by other attractions such as the beaches in Siargao, its palm-grove landscapes, the chance to visit beautiful neighboring islands and, of course, the luxury of unwinding in fabulous villas.

The lightning-fast growth of Siargao’s hotel offering is a never-before-seen phenomenon in the Philippines. From just a handful of places to stay, you can now choose from backpacker hostels (if that’s what you’re after, take a look at hostels in Siargao) to cabanas with their own infinity-style pool overlooking the sea. Plus, unlike other parts of the archipelago, things on this island have been done differently and you’ll find lots of accommodation built with local materials where every detail has been carefully considered. In short, if you want to treat yourself on your trip to the Philippines, this is the place.

In this article we want to give you ideas about the best resorts in Siargao. We’ve chosen 5 luxury hotels (from 200€ per night), 4 beachfront resorts and 3 mid-range places that don’t lack a thing. We’ve also selected a few villas in Siargao in case you want to feel like you’re living on the island—and living it up. For our selection we focused on their location, price, service, common areas, décor, and vibe. Choose the Siargao resort that best fits what you’re looking for and enjoy a wonderful few days on the island.

The Siargao resort that suits you best

As we already told you in Where to stay in Siargao, there are several areas to stay on the island. Most travelers choose to focus on where almost all the action and most accommodations are concentrated: General Luna. However, there are other parts of the island that may also interest you. Here’s a quick overview:

  • General Luna: if you want to be close to restaurants, bars, and shops, this is your spot.
  • Cloud 9: if you’re coming to surf; the whole road between General Luna and Cloud 9 has also developed a lot, so it’s become a very central area with all services.
  • Malinao: if you don’t want to stray far from the core but want peace and quiet and you’re looking for a Siargao resort with sea views.
  • Santa Fe: thanks to the construction of the Catagnan bridge, this part of the south of the island is now well connected and has a gorgeous beach that’s one of our favorites. There are some villas in Siargao here that will blow your mind.
  • Alegría/Pacífico/Burgos: the north isn’t very developed yet, but businesses are gradually opening, especially around Pacífico and Burgos. Alegría still has the prettiest and most “swimmable” beach. If you’re looking to get away from the most touristy areas, this is your place.

We’ve focused on General Luna and Malinao when choosing resorts in Siargao. If you have more than 5 days on the island, you can split your stay between one of them and the island’s north..

Luxury resorts in Siargao

If you’re in the mood to splurge, here are top-tier hotels (some more than others).

Nay Palad Hideaway – Pure luxury

Of course, it’s not a resort you go to every day just because; its price isn’t exactly cheap. However, if you’re looking for resorts in Siargao where you can truly spoil yourself, look no further—this is your place.

With glamour from the moment you step in to the moment you leave, they strictly follow a “barefoot” policy here. Everything is designed so you only have to worry about relaxing. The hotel is an endless source of Instagrammable corners. Everything—absolutely EVERYTHING—is beautiful. With a Balinese style in the common areas and rooms, light tones reign. You can choose between Siargao villas with garden views—perfect for couples and families—or beachfront villas where, oh yes, you have your own pool. All of them come with luxury amenities, air conditioning, a safe, and even an iPod.

Plenty of relaxation, but of course, you won’t get bored. You’ll have kayaks, a paddle board, massage services, cooking classes, private excursions and, of course, a gorgeous infinity pool and a beach area worthy of a design magazine.

Since it’s located in the Malinao area, where there still aren’t many restaurants, and so you don’t have to rack your brain, the room rate includes full board. And, as you might guess, you won’t get a flimsy menu here. The restaurant, which has lovely sea views, also pays attention to every detail.

In case you were wondering by now—yes—the service is on par with everything your eyes can see at this Siargao resort, and then some.

Sandy Feet Siargao – On the beach, great value for money

Okay, if the previous splurge sounded like too much but you still want an impressive Siargao resort, Sandy Feet is what you’re looking for.

Located not far from the previous one, on what is surely one of the island’s most beautiful beaches, it consists of several huge villas that lack nothing. Terrace, kitchen, dining room, walk-in closet, open-air bathrooms… You’re going to feel like you’re at home, but with the bonus of being in a stunning place just steps from the sea. If you’re someone who doesn’t want to think much in the mornings, keep in mind that the room rate includes breakfast, which is also one of the most complete in Siargao.

And if you want activity, you’ll have free kayaks and paddle boards at your disposal all day long. They also arrange exclusive island hopping with barbecue included, as well as island tours. The only “but” we could point out is that it doesn’t have a pool—but we honestly don’t see it as very necessary.

Sound good? If you want to stay at one of the most exclusive resorts in Siargao, book quickly because it usually sells out.

Kalinaw Resort – Glamour for couples

When we advise couples coming on a honeymoon to the Philippines, almost none pass up the chance to stay at this Siargao resort. Staying in a villa with your own pool and sea views is a little luxury you won’t find in many parts of the archipelago.

All rooms and villas are huge (it’s also ideal if you’re traveling with family) and decorated with great taste. They come with your own terrace, Balinese-style bathrooms, and all the comforts you need for a tropical stay.

Kalinaw Resort also has a perfect location. Halfway between General Luna and Cloud 9, you get the advantage of forgetting the noise while still having restaurants and bars nearby. Plus, the hotel’s own restaurant (mostly Italian) is one of the best on the island. Of course, the service is impeccable and they won’t hesitate for a second to help and provide everything you need to make your experience a complete success.

The hotel has a private beach, although it’s not very comfortable for swimming at low tide because there’s a lot of rock. Still, who needs it when you’ve got your own pool?

Isla Cabana – Fabulous location and wonderful pools

Claudia was lucky enough to stay at this hotel for a few nights to celebrate one of her birthdays and, looking back, she thinks it was one of the best gifts she has given herself.

Isla Cabana is, without a doubt, one of the best resorts in Siargao. It was one of the first to appear on the island, so it has a wonderful location for those who want to forget about transport. Right in the core of General Luna, surrounded by restaurants and bars, yet away from the noise, as all its rooms face inward—towards a huge garden that leads to its pools and the beach.

They have “simple” double rooms in a new wing of the hotel; but if you’ve come to play, what you need is one of their villas. All of them are spacious and tastefully decorated with local materials. Some face the garden, but the crown jewel is the most modern ones, the “beachfront villas.” These have sea views and their own pool with hydromassage.

You’ll also be lucky enough to have breakfast at the restaurant by the beach, where a great buffet is served; lounge in one of the hammocks, or have dinner to the sound of the waves. Your shots in the infinity pool will be a hit on Instagram.

Mango Tree Siargao – Your luxury villa in Siargao

If you’re traveling with friends, family, or as a couple but want to treat yourself, don’t worry—you’ll be able to rent your own villa in Siargao.

Mango Tree Siargao has 2 epic houses with impressive views just a few kilometers from General Luna. From here you can enjoy Siargao’s lush greenery and also soak up epic sunsets without even moving from the hammock.

Equipped for 5–8 adults and 3–4 children, both come with your own pool, dining room, several bedrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Add to that the owners’ hospitality and service—they’ll take care of you even before you reach the island. They’ll arrange transport, excursions, massages and, of course, bring you a magnificent breakfast every day. Just keep in mind that the minimum stay is 2 nights (you’ll want to stay many more).

Beachfront resorts in Siargao

If what you want is to be by the sea without spending too much, these Siargao resorts are for you.

Ferra Resort – Peace and quiet in Malinao

Located in Malinao, not far from Sandy Feet, this Siargao resort is one of our favorites. If what you want is a little cabin on the beach, surrounded by palm trees, with a hammock, without excessive luxury (and therefore more affordable) but with everything you need, Ferra Resort is what you’re looking for. It’s an ideal option for couples seeking privacy without getting too far from the buzz, as General Luna’s restaurants are 5–10 minutes away by tricycle or motorbike.

Its cabins are as picturesque as the photos show—no more, no less. Each one has air conditioning, its own little terrace with sea views, and a fully equipped bathroom. Although there’s no restaurant, there’s a shared kitchen, perfect for making yourself breakfast or cooking something with ingredients from the General Luna market.

If you’re traveling in a group or with family, you can rent the two‑storey apartment, which also has a nice private kitchen.

Daluyong Beach Resort – New, no‑fuss Siargao resort

Halfway between General Luna and Cloud 9—both of which you can reach on foot or by tricycle for just 20 pesos—Daluyong is one of the recent additions to Siargao’s resort scene.

Dominik and his wife will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy the island and feel comfortable in their small seaside hotel. The rooms, while not the most modern in the world, are spacious, clean, and come with a fan, air conditioning, television, and a nice shower.

Plus, when the tide is very low and it’s a bit tricky to take a dip in the sea, you’ll have it easy. Daluyong Beach Resort has a small pool perfect for that. Among the common areas we also highlight the bar (where you can hang out playing pool) and a lovely rooftop for a sunset cocktail. Can you picture yourself there already?

DaRosa del Mar – Peace on Alegria Beach (north of Siargao)

It may not be one of the best resorts in the Philippines, but it definitely has a fabulous location and even better value for money. Sleeping to the sound of the sea can be a dream from 50€ per night.

DaRosa del Mar is located in the northwest of the island, right on Alegría Beach. As we tell you in Best beaches in Siargao, this is the prettiest and the least affected by the tides. So you’ll be able to enjoy a relaxing dip and, in most cases, in total solitude.

Sure, you won’t have an infinity pool or as much glamour, but its bungalows have what you need to enjoy your stay. Almost all of them have air conditioning, a fan, a fridge, hot‑water shower, and comfy beds where, for the price, the sheets feel oh‑so‑nice. You can choose between the ones facing the garden (with a view of the sea from the terrace) or the two directly on the beach, which have 2 double beds and are super spacious. We stayed in both and, obviously, the pricier ones are better, but either option is terrific. It also has Starlink wifi and a generator, which saves the day with the constant power cuts on the island.

You can sprawl out on their sun loungers on the beach and you also have kayaks and a paddle board available free of charge. Plus, if you don’t want to move around much, you can sit down to eat in its restaurant as well. Although prices are a tad higher than average, the dishes won’t disappoint.

On top of that, the owners, Dave (who, by the way, speaks some Spanish) and Rosa, are lovely and will help with everything possible so you leave as happy as all their guests do.

Romantic Beach Villas – Location, location, location

If what you’re after is to roll out of bed and land on the beach, this beachfront resort in Siargao will be right up your street. And if you prioritize being well‑located, with a good selection of restaurants and bars around you, you’ll nail it.

With a mix of modern and traditional style, wood takes center stage in the décor. Whether you’re on a romantic getaway (as the name suggests) or on a family trip, you won’t be short of options. This Siargao resort has double and triple rooms with sea or garden views and apartments and studios with kitchens for up to 6 people. All of them have air conditioning, a fan, a safe, a fridge, and a television.

You can see the rooms are pretty good, but we won’t lie—the main reason you’ll book here is its two pools, one of them right by the beach. Drop into a hammock and enjoy a cocktail during happy hour. A perfect plan.

Mid‑range resorts in Siargao

If you like the “resort” concept but don’t want your trip budget to spiral because of it, we recommend you keep reading and discover these Siargao resorts at more contained prices. Even so, in the sections above you have others that could be considered in this price range.

Isola del Sole – Your home in Siargao

Granted, it can’t be considered a luxury resort, but for us it checks the basics: a large area with palm groves, pools, and cool bungalows where you can have a pleasant stay. We were able to check all this first‑hand because this was our last “home” in Siargao for more than a week.

Isola del Sole is located along the road parallel to the coast road, an area that’s gradually filling up with hotels and restaurants, so if you want to walk to some of them, you won’t have a problem. In other words, it isn’t in the «core» of the bars, but there are plenty of places around.

Their little cabins strike us as very cozy and make you feel as if you lived on the island. They have a sort of small lounge with a TV, a kitchen (very complete—we cooked just fine), and a good dining table where we were able to have breakfast/lunch/dinner and also work comfortably on our laptops. What’s more, they have two floors. Downstairs is everything mentioned above, while upstairs there’s a small extra bedroom with a double bed, and the sofa can be turned into a bed—making it accommodation in Siargao that’s perfect if you’re traveling with family or a group but cute and romantic enough if you’re traveling as a couple.

If you tend to run hot, they have air conditioning, fans, a hot‑water heater, windows with mosquito screens, and a personal water dispenser. Plus, the little terrace is super pleasant for spending some time outdoors and letting your swimwear dry.

As we hinted above, they’ve recently opened a pool and the staff is lovely, helping as much as possible so you have a great stay. In the heart of the hotel there’s also a small gazebo with hammocks to relax. All this for about 50€–55€ per night, so it’s no wonder rooms fly and we consider it one of the best resorts in Siargao.

Kalipay Resort Siargao – Excellent value for money

Its spacious rooms with a small sitting area for about 100€ won us over at first sight; add a beautiful pool and we didn’t hesitate for a second to include Kalipay in today’s list of the best resorts in Siargao.

The concept is more boutique hotel, as there are only 8 rooms, so personalized service is guaranteed. The rooms are super spacious and all of them have a sofa bed, so they can accommodate up to 4 people. As for location, it’s between General Luna and Cloud 9, along the so‑called Tourism Road, where you’ll find everything you need for lunch/dinner. Even so, this Siargao resort serves gargantuan breakfasts.

The Village Siargao – Privacy and exquisite décor

The same owners as Sandy Feet decided to open a twin hotel a few steps from the former, and they did it with such great taste that they earned a spot rounding off our list of the best resorts in Siargao.

Although it isn’t right on the beach, you won’t need to walk far to get your feet in the water. In exchange for that short extra stroll, you’ll have a newly built bungalow packed with comforts for a third of what it would cost to stay in a “more luxurious” resort.

The cabins at The Village are large, well decorated and—best of all—come with a nice little terrace where you can have breakfast while admiring Siargao’s greenery. Breakfasts are served in your own room, but if you want to save a bit you can also prepare them yourself in your kitchenette. It’s everything you imagine if you want to try what it’s like to live on a tropical island. Keep in mind the minimum stay is 2 nights, but walang problema—you’ll want to stay longer too.

More Siargao resorts you might like

The ones above are more than enough to choose from, but here we want to give you a few more options we think are worth mentioning:

  • The River Hideaway: past Santa Fe, in an incredible nook surrounded by mangroves. We’re talking about riverside villas created with such care they look like they came out of a design magazine. Seriously, if you want a special place, you’re going to love this one. Take a look here.
  • Woody’s Place Siargao: a small hotel near Cloud 9 right by the sea with exquisite attention from the couple who run it. Its ocean‑view rooms are wonderful and, although it’s on the pricey side, not so much for what it offers. For us, it has very good value for money. Book from this link.
  • Kajali Siargao: we’re not sure it fits the “resort” concept, but it does have a pool and a “boho” aesthetic that drives us crazy. Plus, the location is great—right in the heart of General Luna—if you’d rather not take too many rides. From 80€ per night. See what we mean here.
  • Bulan Villas Siargao: located along the main road, this property with rooms around a pool has been one of our favorites for years. Add its restaurant with a wood‑fired oven… Take a look at this link.

Villas in Siargao

Siargao is taking on more and more of a Bali vibe, so you can gradually find more villas if what you want is that concept of “an impressive house all to yourself where you can give yourself an Asian‑level treat.” In this sense, location is key for us, and here we want to give you some alternatives we’re sure you’re going to love:

  • Villa Juan: we’re suckers for Santa Fe Beach. It is, without a doubt, the most beautiful of all the surroundings of General Luna and it’s still little visited even though it isn’t that far from the Cloud 9 area. This villa with direct access to its beach is everything you imagine for your visit to Siargao. From 142€ per night (with free cancellation), it’s a bargain for the place and the good taste it’s built with. Have a look right now from here.
  • SeaClub Siargao: modern Siargao villas with 3 bedrooms and a private pool that are perfect for groups of up to 6 people—or couples who simply want to treat themselves. Located around the Catagnan area, so not far from the “action.” From 300€ per night. Check it out here.
  • Kamaya Private Villa with pool: also located in the Santa Fe area, with a pool surrounded by greenery that’s just awesome. From 250€ per night for 4 people—nothing wrong with that! Book from this link.
  • Private Beachfront Villa w/ pool: how can we express the feeling we had when we saw this place? Simply—why isn’t this house mine? It’s another frontline villa on Santa Fe Beach, our favorite. Granted, it’s around 400€ per night, but it sleeps 6 comfortably and you’ll enjoy a huge pool right by the beach that’s just awesome. Snoops here.
  • Villa Baleia: if you want to enjoy the north of Siargao, this villa in Pacífico with 2 bedrooms and an aesthetic‑vibe pool is wonderful. Best of all is the price—from just 190€ per night for up to 6 people, what a deal! Book now from this link.
