Where to stay in Coron? The selection of hotels in Coron has grown along with the number of travelers who decide to visit this paradise in the Philippines. As a result, you’ll have no trouble finding all kinds of places to stay in Coron, from hostels where you can save a little and meet other travelers to luxury resorts.

There are several things you need to consider when choosing your accommodation in Coron. The first is how far in advance you book. While it’s true that the number of hotels in the area has grown somewhat in recent years, Coron’s popularity has grown even more, so nowadays (2026) it’s QUITE difficult to find good-value places if you don’t book far in advance. That’s why our advice is to book as soon as possible. Seriously, if you wait until 1–2 weeks before your trip, you’ll struggle to find somewhere decent that doesn’t cost a fortune.

We’re not just saying this—we’ve had a really hard time finding accommodation around here… We like to be spontaneous, but in this case (and in El Nido and Port Barton), we definitely can’t recommend it.

As we mentioned when explaining how to get to Coron, most travelers decide to stay in Coron Town, the main town on the island of Busuanga. However, you won’t find the idyllic, postcard-like scenery you’re dreaming of in this town—that’s on the island opposite, Coron Island. If you’re feeling a little confused, we’re about to explain the best areas to stay in Coron.

Where to stay in Coron: areas and tips

The first thing you need to consider when choosing accommodation in Coron is the area where you want to stay.

Unlike in El Nido, most hotels in Coron are concentrated in Coron Town and the surrounding area. Here you’ll find accommodation for every budget. However, if you’re looking for something more special, there are also options on nearby islands.

Here’s a detailed look at the best areas to stay in Coron:

a) Coron Town

This is Coron’s main hub and the area where most of its accommodation is located. You’ll find tons of restaurants, bars, travel agencies, as well as the port where boats depart for Coron Island and the other islands in the area, which are usually visited on island-hopping tours.

There is no beach in Coron Town, but there is a mangrove area and a pleasant waterfront promenade where you can enjoy an ice cream and watch the sunset (if you don’t believe us, check out the sunset in the photo below). Staying in the center can be a little noisy, but you’ll find places to stay just a 5- or 10-minute walk away where you’re guaranteed a better night’s sleep.

What’s more, tricycle rides around Coron Town and the surrounding area are very affordable. So, if you find a hotel in Coron that’s a little farther from the center, you normally won’t pay more than 50–100 pesos to get there. You can also get around town for 10 pesos by tricycle, which is the fare if you take one that follows a fixed route.

We’ll give you plenty of suggestions below, but after all our visits here, we highly recommend THIS LITTLE HOTEL, where we’ve stayed for as long as 2 weeks at a time.

b) Other islands

As in El Nido, in Coron you’ll also find a few resorts on islands relatively close to Coron Town. Room rates here tend to be higher, but you’ll also enjoy beautiful beaches and views. On top of the room rate, you need to add food costs (which are usually higher because of the remote location) and the cost of private tours, which tend to be more expensive because you have to arrange them through the hotel itself. Even so, as you’ll see, these are truly special places for a one-of-a-kind vacation in the Philippines or a honeymoon.

c) Other corners of Busuanga: Concepcion, Salvacion, and Ocam Ocam Beach

Busuanga is a huge island, and there’s much more to it than Coron Town. During our most recent stays in this area, we decided to explore the Concepcion area and spent a few wonderful days island hopping from there. From its port, we visited Pass Island, Maltatayoc, North Cay… We also rented a motorcycle, made our way to Ocam Ocam Beach, and visited the spectacular Black Island.

Concepcion is 45 minutes to an hour from Coron Town, can be reached by van (250 pesos) or motorcycle (500 pesos per day), and is an incredibly, unbelievably, ultra-quiet town. It basically has 1 street, 3 guesthouses, and 2 restaurants—that’s it. And that was precisely what we loved most. We spent a week totally relaxed.

Salvacion is about 90 minutes from Coron Town and therefore closer to Ocam Ocam and Black Island. It’s larger than Concepcion and has a slightly wider selection of restaurants and hotels. We’ve also been able to take other tours from here, and it was our base for swimming with dugongs. Here, we highly recommend THIS HOTEL.

Lastly, Ocam Ocam Beach is a beach on the western side of Busuanga that stole our hearts. When we arrived, we had the same feeling we had on our first trips around the Philippines 14 years ago. Although the sand isn’t fine or white (it’s a little coarser and golden), the place is idyllic. Barely developed, it has very affordable little beach cottages and a couple of restaurants. If this is your kind of vibe, this is your place! Check out THIS HOTEL and let us know what you think ; ) Bear in mind that it’s 2 hours from Coron Town and there’s no public transportation, so you’ll need a motorcycle or have to arrange a transfer (which is a little pricey).

So, where should you stay in Coron?

After 7 visits to Busuanga, here’s our clear advice:

• If you have limited time (2–3 days), it’s best to stick to the main island-hopping trips (the Ultimate and Escapade Tours), so you should stay in Coron Town or the surrounding area. Recommended hotel: THIS ONE.
• If you have more time (4–5 days or longer), you could split your stay between Concepcion/Salvacion and Coron Town. From Concepcion, you can visit Pass Island, Ocam Ocam Beach, and Black Island, giving you a well-rounded experience of Busuanga.
• If you’re looking for something truly special because you have the budget for it or you’re on your honeymoon, you’ll love any hotel on one of the Calamian Islands. You’ll have to accept the higher cost of island-hopping tours, but that feeling of being on a remote island is unbeatable. For example, Discovery Coron is top of the line.

If you’re traveling around the Philippines on a tight budget or want to meet people, a great way to stay in Coron is at a hostel. You’ll find this type of accommodation with shared dorms, private rooms, and common areas where you can socialize. These are the best hostels in Coron:

Hop Hostel: the best hostel to stay at in Coron

We don’t think there’s much room for debate. If you’re looking for the best hostel to stay at in Coron because you want a lively atmosphere, TOP facilities, and a central location on top of it all, this is your place. Housed in a large building with what we might call a “Greek” style, it has a lovely pool and amazing views of Coron Town and its bay, especially from the rooftop, which possibly has the best bar in town and offers some of the most epic sunsets.

The hostel has double and quadruple rooms if you’re traveling as a couple or with friends, as well as shared dorms for 6, 8, and 12 people, some of which are women-only. The beds are extremely comfortable and, in the dorms, each one has its own power outlet and reading light, along with curtains for extra privacy. Of course, there are also lockers where you can store your valuables. All rooms have air conditioning.

The common areas are also really cool and include a kitchen, a movie theater, and, of course, the pool and rooftop. As you’ve probably guessed, there are tons of activities where you can meet other travelers. Prices start at $16 per night, which is a little pricey for a hostel, but we promise it’s one of the best places to stay in Coron. Bear in mind that there’s a minimum stay of 2 nights.

Happy Camper Hostel

Good Wi-Fi! This hostel in Coron has something that seems impossible to find in the Philippines. Located close to the center, this little house has a room for 8 people with fairly comfortable single beds, each with its own fan, plus lockers. If you want more comfort, there’s also an air-conditioned dorm, and couples can stay in the new rooms with a double bed and private bathroom, which are really nice.

The owner, John, is the best thing about the hostel because he’s incredibly friendly. Beds start at $14 and include breakfast (coffee and pandesal). The common areas are also cool, and there’s even a small kitchen. For us, it’s one of the best places to stay in Coron, with reasonable prices and a perfect setup for anyone who wants to socialize a little.

Dayon Hostel

Located a 10-minute walk from the port (or a 10-peso tricycle ride), this is our favorite hostel to stay at in Coron. If you don’t feel like walking at night, there are also plenty of restaurants nearby and even a small kitchen where you can prepare something simple or save money on breakfast.

The facilities are brand-new and include air-conditioned dorms for 6 and 12 people (mixed and women-only), with lockers. They also have rooms with just one bunk bed for 2 people if you’re looking for more privacy. The terrace is a great place to meet people and end the day with a cold San Miguel. Prices are around $11 per bed.

DK’s Inn

Located in a very quiet part of Coron Town, we think this guesthouse offers some of the best value for money around. From $39 per night, you’ll get an impeccably clean double room with air conditioning, a fan, TV, private bathroom, and Wi-Fi, but the best part is the owners (Maricar and Daniel), who are lovely. They’ll help you if you need services such as laundry or motorcycle rental.

It’s a comfortable hotel in Coron whether you’re traveling as a couple, with your family, or with friends, as it has fairly spacious triple and quadruple rooms at an affordable price, as we mentioned. They also offer breakfast for around 180 pesos, which is pretty good.

Hiraya Homestay

If what you want is budget accommodation in Coron without worrying too much about the decor, but you still want a good location and friendly staff, then Hiraya Homestay is what you need. Here you’ll find small rooms starting at $21 per night, with shared bathrooms, but they’re very clean and, most importantly, the Filipino family’s hospitality will make you feel at home. If you want air conditioning, which is advisable given their size, the price rises to $32, but we still think that’s more than affordable for a guesthouse where everything works extremely well and which has a rating of no less than 9 on Booking.

If you want to save money, you can also use the kitchen to make breakfast or a simple meal. They even provide free coffee/tea and bread every morning.

Bella Vita Guesthouse

The best thing about this accommodation in Coron is its owner, Jolinne, who makes you feel at home and does everything she can to ensure you have a fantastic stay. You only have to read the reviews from other travelers, who give it almost a 10 on Booking.

The house is located about 15 minutes from town—a trip that costs around 60 pesos by tricycle—but it’s worth it for the cleanliness and peaceful setting. Double rooms with a bathroom cost around $34 and include breakfast. Highly recommended!

In a very laid-back part of Coron Town but just steps away from everything, this little hotel has only 4 rooms, but the value for money is unbeatable. From $29 per night, you get air conditioning, a hot shower, TV, a fan, and, most importantly, a very caring family who will help with everything.

While the location isn’t amazing because it’s farther from the center, you can easily walk to restaurants or reach them by tricycle for just 20 pesos. Everything else more than makes up for it. It’s a quiet place, with incredibly friendly staff, simple but clean rooms, and a free water dispenser for guests. If you’re traveling with a group or family, you’ll be happy to know there are rooms for up to 8 people at an irresistible price.

We also couldn’t leave it off this list of hotels in Coron because, for just $34 per night, you get a double room with a bathroom and breakfast included. You’ll struggle to find anything better!

Argamosa Bayside Inn

On one of our visits to Coron, we spent a ton of days—so many, in fact—at Bay Area Lodge (which we highly recommend). At one point, we wanted to extend our stay, only to discover that they didn’t have any rooms left. That’s why we moved, quite literally, to the place we could see from our window. Argamosa Bayside Inn is a small but pleasant building right in the heart of Coron Town, yet in a fairly quiet spot, so we spent a comfortable few days there.

The rooms are small, but they’re clean and have everything you need: air conditioning, hot water, TV… There’s also a pretty little outdoor area, and the room price isn’t bad: $40–$45 with breakfast included. The family who runs it is also very friendly. All in all, we think it’s a pretty good option, which is why we recommend it.

Bay Area Lodge, one of the best affordable places to stay in Coron

Through various twists of fate, we’ve ended up spending as long as 3 weeks at this hotel in Coron and, far from getting tired of it, we’ve returned to stay again. So we can confidently tell you that it’s one of the best places you’ll find in the area, especially after the huge increase in accommodation prices we’ve experienced. With that in mind, before you continue reading, we encourage you to take a look and see whether any rooms are still available.

Bay Area Lodge is on Coron’s main street, making it ideal both for taking island-hopping tours and going out for dinner. It has 10 rooms: some family rooms, some triples, and some doubles. We’ve tried them all, and they’re genuinely very comfortable whichever one you choose. The rooms upstairs are quieter and more spacious, with partial sea views, but all of them have air conditioning and a fan, satellite TV, a modern bathroom, and, surprisingly, one of the best internet connections we’ve had in Busuanga.

The simplest rooms cost around $40–$48, but the price includes a fairly substantial breakfast (there are several options) served in the restaurant. Speaking of which, if you don’t feel like going out for dinner one evening, the restaurant is pretty good.

Acacia Garden Inn

If you want to stay at one of the best hotels in Coron, hurry! Acacia Garden is one of our favorites and is usually fully booked, so we recommend booking as soon as possible. Located around a 15-minute walk from the center (5 minutes by tricycle), this newly built hotel has all the amenities you need to enjoy Coron without paying too much.

The rooms are clean and very well equipped with a TV, air conditioning, and hot water (with amazing water pressure for the Philippines). Double rooms cost around $45 and include breakfast (which is pretty decent). They offer free coffee, tea, and water 24 hours a day, and the Wi-Fi works well! Best of all, they recently opened a pool.

If Bay Area Lodge were full, we’d choose The Ridge Coron. Why? Because from $58 per night, you get a modern, spacious, and clean double room with an excellent breakfast included, which you can enjoy on your terrace. For a little more, you can choose one of the rooms with sea views, making your stay in Coron even more special.

The staff are lovely and, although it isn’t very far from the center (just a 10-minute walk), they offer a free tricycle service that takes you to Coron Town whenever you want to go out for dinner or start your tours. They also rent motorcycles if you need one. Everything works well at this hotel, and we’ll definitely choose it again when we return to Coron.

This ultra-modern hotel is located 3 minutes from Coron Town by tricycle, in an idyllic setting. We’re 100% certain you’ll love watching the sunsets from the bar while sipping a cocktail—we promise!

The rooms are spectacular, and the service more than matches them. Double rooms cost around $150 and include a substantial continental breakfast. As with the previous option, if you don’t feel like going anywhere for dinner, there’s no need to worry because they have a very nice restaurant serving reasonably priced dishes. Close to the previous hotel and offering similar standards, this newly built hotel has spectacular views of the mangroves in Bacau Bay, where you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets. If budget isn’t an issue and you want to treat yourself, Coron also has options for you! Although the selection of luxury hotels in Coron is smaller than in El Nido, here’s a fantastic place to stay in Coron:

Sangat Island Dive Resort

Sangat Island is one of the islands in the Calamian group and is therefore close to Coron Island. With limestone scenery similar to that of Coron Island and Black Island, it lies halfway between the Coron Town and Concepcion areas, giving you access to everything Busuanga has to offer.

We recommend this resort if you want to combine the area’s incredible diving (they have a dive shop) with island hopping, without having to give up a day at the beach or take a boat to enjoy one, as Sangat Island Dive Resort enjoys an idyllic location, with a wonderful strip of golden sand and, just a few steps from shore, a spectacular reef full of marine life where you can go snorkeling.

Here you can fulfill your dream of sleeping in a little cottage overlooking the sea. Prices for the most basic double room start at $338 and include full board and transfers to and from Coron Airport. It’s relatively expensive, but considering the location, the fact that you won’t have to worry about food costs, and how spectacular the cottages are, we think it’s an incredible hotel for a special experience.

Discovery Coron

Located north of Busuanga Island, Discovery Coron (formerly called Club Paradise) is one of those places that makes your trip to the Philippines even more memorable. For us, it’s one of the best hotels in Coron, especially because it’s located on a private island: Dimakya. White-sand beaches, a reef just off the shore for snorkeling, a dive shop for exploring nearby dive sites, a pool, a spa… What more could you ask for?

The usual island-hopping destinations are a bit far away (although tours to them are available at a higher price), but there’s a beautiful island called Dumunpalit relatively close by, which you can also visit for a day. We recommend spending 2–3 nights here and then another couple in Coron Town or the surrounding area for a complete experience of this part of the Philippines.

Prices are high, but not as high as you might expect. Rooms facing the “garden” start at $368 with breakfast included. Obviously, if you’re looking for something more special, choose one of the cottages located directly on the beach.

Two Seasons Coron Island Resort & Spa

Located on Bulalacao Island, next to the Bulog Dos sandbar visited on the Escapade Tour, this is the perfect hotel in Coron if you want to spend a few days completely relaxed. Almost all the rooms have sea views and are tastefully decorated. In addition to a wonderful beach, there’s a beautiful nearby reef where you can go snorkeling.

The most affordable double rooms cost around $640 and include breakfast. It is expensive, but if it has a 9.1 out of 10 rating from the most discerning travelers on Booking, they must have their reasons!

Hotels in Concepcion, Salvacion, and Ocam Ocam – alternatives in Busuanga

As we mentioned, we took several different island-hopping trips from Concepcion, but while we were there, many people also did the popular Ultimate Tour and Escapade Tour (which are usually taken from Coron Town because it’s closer—you can read more in Island hopping in Coron) simply by setting off from their accommodation at around 5–6 a.m. It’s exhausting, but if you like getting away from touristy places, it may be worth it. Also, if you want to dive at the shipwrecks, bear in mind that they’re much closer to Concepcion. For example, the Okikawa is just 10 minutes from the dive centers. We found it extremely convenient.

In Concepcion, West Atlantic is excellent, while in the town itself, right by the sea, there’s Concepcion Divers Lodge (enjoy the magical sunsets), as well as another really cool option with its own little pool and everything: Sanctuaria Treehouses Busuanga.

If you have a bigger budget, don’t think twice, because right next door there’s a bay with spectacular hotels such as Marina del Sol or Busuanga Bay Lodge (you can see the photo we took of the infinity pool below). Another absolutely fantastic option, both for its facilities and service, is AL FARO Cosmio Palawan. These hotels can also help you arrange island-hopping tours around the area at very competitive prices, almost the same as what the boat operators in town charge, making them extremely convenient options.

Salvacion is about 90 minutes from Coron Town and therefore closer to Ocam Ocam and Black Island. From here, you can take island-hopping trips to Maltatayoc, Pass Island, and Black Island, and we also used this town as our base when we went swimming with dugongs. It’s larger than Concepcion and has a slightly wider selection of restaurants and hotels. We prefer Concepcion, but there are places as good as Josefina’s Tourist Inn. This is an excellent new hotel with double rooms, family rooms, and a dorm, all at fantastic prices. We came here after a multi-day expedition and were incredibly grateful for it.

In Ocam Ocam (which is the best beach on Busuanga Island, is still very quiet, and gives you access to Black Island), you’ll find these super-affordable little cottages, these other, even more upscale options, or this “beach house” with a pool overlooking the sea and every kind of luxury.

Elsewhere, between Concepcion and Salvacion, there’s a beautiful, secluded beach with some idyllic cottages: Alam Indah Busuanga Villas. You reach it via a staircase leading directly down from the road, and it’s a true paradise of a place to stay in Coron.
