Romblon is one of our favorite islands in the Philippines and has plenty to do so you can spend at least 3 days on it. Visiting the spectacular Bonbon Beach, riding a motorbike around the island, discovering its neighboring islands, or watching the sunset from a Spanish fort are just a few examples. Because Romblon’s tourist infrastructure is still not very developed, you won’t find many hotels in Romblon. Therefore, we’ve decided to make things a bit easier for you and put together a selection of the best places where to stay in Romblon so you’ll be comfortable on your trip to the Philippines.
At Viajar por Filipinas we consider the interests of all types of travelers, so we want to recommend places to stay in Romblon for every budget. Given the limited accommodation, it’s advisable to book well in advance, especially if you’re seeking good value for money or if you’re visiting the island during high-demand dates such as Christmas, Holy Week, or the May long weekend.
Keep reading and discover a list of the best places to stay in Romblon, including both budget hotels and resorts.
Best areas where to stay in Romblon
Before diving into the recommendations, as we do with all the accommodation guides on the website, we want to tell you a little about where the hotel offer is concentrated so you can decide what suits you best.
Romblon is a relatively special island because its very limited tourist development means there aren’t many restaurants, not even along the coastal road. For this reason, a good part of the accommodation in Romblon is in Romblon Romblon, that is, the capital. Here you’ll have a considerable variety of restaurants and bars, and this is where the port that receives ferries and boats from other islands is located.
However, over the years, some small hotels have been popping up along the island’s west coast (basically near Bon Bon Beach and the Agpanabat Marine Sanctuary) that give you the chance to relax by the sea and perhaps have a more adventurous experience. If you opt for them, just bear in mind you’ll have to pay for transport to reach them and then rely on a motorbike, since public transport isn’t frequent enough to be using it all day long.
In short, if you want conveniences and something affordable to sleep in Romblon, the best bet is Romblon Romblon in a hostel like this one. If you’re after something different, hotels like Lonos Circle or Coco Cabana are what you need. In any case, below you have a map of hotels in Romblon so you can get an idea of what we’re talking about.

The best budget hotels in Romblon
In this section you can find budget hotels in Romblon where you won’t spend much money. For under 20€ you’ll find great options, which is what happens when you discover less-visited islands.
Romblon Transient House
If you want to stay in town and save, we highly recommend taking a look at Romblon Transient House, which has already positioned itself as one of the best places to stay in Romblon on a budget. They have a couple of apartments from 14€ per night with two bedrooms (they can sleep up to 4 people), a small kitchenette (kettle and fridge) to make simple breakfasts, a TV with Netflix, and a little terrace. It’s true it doesn’t have air conditioning, but it does have fans, which are usually enough in the Philippines.
All in all, it’s accommodation in Romblon that makes you feel at home for next to nothing. The owners, on the other hand, are super friendly and will help you find a rental motorbike.

Capaclan Centro Private Room
Another cheap hotel in the center of Romblon, perfect for those who want to save and not spend much time in the room, but think they’ll need air conditioning to relax after a day exploring the island. They have double and family rooms from 19€ that are fully equipped and a very pleasant terrace with a small kitchen with fridge, microwave, and kettle, which is great for saving on breakfasts.
As in the previous case, the owners are lovely and also help you rent a motorbike if you choose to get around Romblon that way. Without a doubt, another great option to stay in Romblon for little money.

Reggae Vibes de Romblon
Located in front of the Agpanabat Marine Sanctuary, this is one of the best places to stay in Romblon. You’ll like it if you’re coming to snorkel, ride a motorbike around the island, and relax. It’s a very basic hotel, with nipa walls and a shared bathroom, but very pleasant and run by a helpful Filipino couple. Even so, it does have air conditioning.
Keep in mind it isn’t located in town, so restaurant options are limited. That said, the hotel itself has a restaurant, in case you don’t want to worry. Double rooms from 20€ and singles for 8€.

Mid-range hotels in Romblon
If you want to spend a little more, from 20€ you can find hotels in Romblon with greater comforts. Here we’ll tell you which ones, in our experience, are the most interesting.
Lonos Circle
A 10 minutes by motorbike from Romblon Romblon and literally a stone’s throw from Bon Bon Beach (perhaps the most beautiful beach on the island) and Tiamban Beach, this accommodation is, in our opinion, one of the best options today to stay in Romblon. Its rooms are spacious, spotless, and very well equipped so you can enjoy your stay, but the best part is the terrace, with incredible sea views.
The owners, Lily and Johan, are charming and will help you as much as possible so you remember your visit to Romblon like a dream. In addition, they have a restaurant frequented by locals and visitors, so you won’t have to complicate things when looking for dinner. From 26€ per night for a double, we wouldn’t hesitate to book as soon as possible.

Sea U Inn
Halfway between Romblon Romblon and Bon Bon Beach (you can walk to both), this newly built little hotel is one we believe you’ll love if you’re looking for where to stay in Romblon without paying much but with minimum comforts. It’s a hotel with direct sea views, with comfortable, clean rooms, and you can choose between the cheaper ones (from 25€) with a fan or the more expensive ones (around 40€) with air conditioning.
There’s an adjoining restaurant that’s fantastic and, in addition, the owner is super friendly and will help you with transport, whether you need a motorbike or a tricycle.

Stone Creek House
This is the place where we spent the nearly 10 days we stayed on the island of Romblon. Located right in the city center, the star of Stone Creek is Carlos, its manager. Super friendly, he’ll help with your stay in Romblon and give you contacts to rent motorbikes or do island hopping.
The rooms are fully equipped and decorated in a very pleasant style. The internet connection was one of the best we had in the Philippines. However, you need to bear in mind that room prices are quite high (between 40€ and 50€ per night). The most expensive of all even has its own living room with a kitchen and a patio with a barbecue, so you feel at home.

Best resorts in Romblon
Don’t expect massive resorts with pools and every luxury in Romblon, but you can stay in small hotels with a pool or with direct access to the sea like the ones we mention below.
Coco Cabana Romblon
Eric and Melisa are the charming owners of this resort on the southern tip of Romblon, about 25 minutes from the capital, in an area that doesn’t have a beach but does have a nice spot for snorkeling. Even though you might think it’s a bit far, you won’t have any trouble finding tricycles to take you at any time of day.
The hotel is located right by the sea, with direct access, and it also has a very cool swimming pool where you can relax after a day of sightseeing around the island. In addition, they have a restaurant with excellent value for money. They offer all kinds of rooms—from shared dorms for 4 people to quadruples with their own bathroom and air conditioning, as well as basic nipa huts—ranging between 24€ and 50€ for two people.

The Three P Beach Resort & Dive Center
If you’ve come to dive or you’re looking for a bungalow with sea views to stay in Romblon, stop searching because here it is. This modern resort with an integrated dive center is among the most luxurious you’ll find on the island and has a small beach with mangroves for a dip. The restaurant is posh, with a menu prepared each day by a chef, so it’s not particularly cheap, but it will give your palate a rest if you’re coming after many days of constant “on the go.”
Heads up: they have Starlink, so high-speed internet is guaranteed. Rooms from 40€, with family options and sea views.

Lamao Beach Resort and Restaurant
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, you can spend a few nights on the eastern side of Romblon (it’s not the one with the best beaches, fair warning) at this modest resort but with a great pool. Although it isn’t possible to book through the usual search engines (you can contact them via Facebook), the most basic double rooms cost 1,000 pesos per night, but you’ll also find more expensive rooms equipped with air conditioning and hot water. Internet connection is almost non-existent.

Tinaoog Beach Resort
The first thing you should know is that this hotel isn’t located on Romblon but on the neighboring island of Alad. However, it’s a very good option if you want to spend a few days in absolute tranquility enjoying the island’s beaches and snorkeling or diving. The rooms, although basic, have sea views and will give you those memories of the Philippines you long for. You can book here from 30€, but bear in mind that you’ll have to have all your meals at the hotel, since there’s nothing around.
