What are the best resorts in Boracay? As one of the most touristic islands in the Philippines, picking your resort won’t be that simple. Its development in recent decades has been such that some of the best hotel chains in the world have resorts here, but you’ll also find more intimate seaside resorts perfect for enjoying with family or as a couple.

In Where to stay in Boracay you can find places to stay on the island for every budget, but this time we’re going to focus on more comfort-oriented hotels, with a pool and located right by the beaches, some of the best in the Philippines. To help you choose more easily, we’ll dive into each of them, emphasizing price, service, facilities, and decor.

Boracay is perfect for treating yourself to that little indulgence you’ve been craving and not having to worry about finding transport every time you want to enjoy the sea. To locate them easily, at the end of this article you’ll find a map with all of them.

The Boracay resort that suits you best—how to choose?

Before you start booking your resort in Boracay, it’s advisable to ask yourself what you want from this experience. Do you want to be close to restaurants, bars, or shops, or do you prefer a hotel where you can spend hours and hours on your own private beach? Are you after a more upscale vibe or perhaps a backpacker one?

What’s more, in Boracay the location is especially important. Let’s start with its best-known beach: White Beach. With about 4 kilometers of fine white sand, it’s divided into 3 “stations,” each with its own character. In short: Station 1 tends to have bigger resorts, is quieter and less commercial; Station 2 has more shops, restaurants, and a lot more buzz; and Station 3 is the least visited, but also the one with fewer resorts.

On the opposite coast of the island is Bulabog Beach, a beach that remains a little wilder. The amihan blows strongly here from mid-November to March, making it one of the best places for kitesurfing in the Philippines and also giving it a more backpacker atmosphere. While it’s not comparable to White Beach, it’s a pretty beach and, therefore, more and more Boracay resorts are popping up here. As you’ll see, prices are lower.

Based on our experience, if you’re looking for a happy medium—that is, a mix of a beautiful beach and nearby restaurants—the best alternative is Station 1 of White Beach. If you want a more exclusive experience, then resorts like Shangri-La or Crimson are for you, as they feature smaller beaches that are almost exclusive to the hotel.

Where and when to book?

As for booking platforms, for us it’s clear: Booking is the winner for its ease of use and for the service they’ve always provided when we’ve had any issues. That said, in the Philippines it’s always worth comparing prices on Agoda, which sometimes surprises you with good deals. For each resort we’ve included both links so you can compare easily.

When should you book your resort in Boracay? Since these are fairly large properties, there’s usually plenty of hotel availability. However, if you’re thinking of visiting the island during times like Christmas, Holy Week, or Chinese New Year, do it at least 2 months in advance if you don’t want to be left with the worst and most expensive places.

Best resorts in Boracay

Without further ado, here we’re going to tell you about the best resorts in Boracay, which we’ve categorized by location. What you don’t need to worry about is whether or not they’re beachfront, because they’re all on the beach—something we consider essential on an island with such beautiful stretches of sand.

Exclusive resorts in Boracay

If you’re going on a honeymoon to the Philippines and want to unwind after the arduous wedding planning, Boracay is a top destination because it has a range of high-end hotels where you’ll only have to let yourself be pampered.

Shangri-La Boracay (Bayungan Beach/Punta Bunga Beach)

This is possibly one of the best resorts in Boracay for several reasons. The first is its fabulous location, north of White Beach, taking up 2 beautiful beaches of fine white sand, one of them exclusive to the hotel. The best of Boracay is here: a stunning beach, palm trees, wonderful sunsets, pools with sea views, and service on par with one of the world’s top hotel chains.

As for activities, you can opt for all kinds of water sports, from kayaking or snorkeling to parasailing or romantic boat rides. For more relaxed moments you can head to the spa, join a yoga class or—why not?—the favorite option of Filipinos: karaoke.

If you don’t want to move around too much, Shangri-La also has several restaurants serving high-level Asian and European cuisine with sea views; and if you’re after something special, you can also go for a private dinner on your room’s terrace or on the beach.

And, most importantly, its 219 rooms. The most basic are spacious (63 square meters) and include a balcony with garden or sea views, depending on your choice. All the comforts of a 5-star are there, including Wi‑Fi, minibar, and TV, with furniture and decor in which Filipino craftsmanship always stands out. Stepping up, the sea‑view suites come with a private terrace with loungers and—heads up—a hot tub. But if you want to really treat yourself, the villas are what you need. Without going for the most expensive, the loft villa has a private infinity pool with sea views you won’t want to leave.

Without the slightest doubt, Shangri-La is the best resort in Boracay—not only because of its location, but because it’s everything you imagine when you think of a luxury stay in an Asian country. Everything is cared for down to the tiniest detail, service is impeccable, and the variety of restaurants, bars, and activities will make it impossible to get bored. If you want to celebrate life, don’t hesitate and book.

Crimson Resort and Spa Boracay (Punta Bunga Beach)

Punta Bunga Beach has recently become known as Station 0 of White Beach due to its location further north on the island, away from the popularity of the latter. Sharing the beach with Shangri-La, Crimson is one of the best resorts in Boracay not only because of its spectacular seaside location, but also for its modern architecture and top‑level service.

3 restaurants, a spa, an infinity pool, a gym, and a kids’ area, among other facilities. While the resort has everything you need, if you’re after more action, you should know they offer a complimentary shuttle service to Station 2 of White Beach, where you’ll find a multitude of shops and restaurants.

This resort has 192 rooms, villas, and suites. The most basic rooms have 2 beds and feature modern, functional furnishings including a Nespresso machine, safe, and, of course, Wi‑Fi and air conditioning. You can choose rooms with island interior or sea views, but for a special holiday, the pool villas are the winners.

Resorts in Boracay: White Beach

White Beach is where you’ll find most resorts in Boracay. The reason? This very long stretch of fine white sand is one of the best in the Philippines and there’s room for everything. Plus, its sunsets are world‑famous and most hotels offer loungers to enjoy them with a cocktail in hand.

Our favorite White Beach resorts are located in Station 1. This part of the beach is the quietest and widest and, in our opinion, the most picturesque, as this is where the Willy’s Rock formation is located.

Discovery Shores Boracay (White Beach – Station 1)

Located in the heart of Station 1, if this Boracay resort has earned several prestigious awards and has a score of 9,1 thanks to other travelers’ reviews, it’s for a reason. It’s an ultra‑modern property with all the facilities you’ll need for a magical island holiday: a huge pool, spa, gym, several restaurants, a beach bar and, of course, loungers right on White Beach itself.

With impeccable service and cleanliness, you can choose from 99 suite-type rooms: junior, one‑bedroom, or two‑bedroom, with the option to step up to premier level and enjoy sea views while you relax in the hot tub. They also have one‑ or two‑bedroom signature units for those looking to really splurge. Whichever you choose, you’ll have modern furnishings and every amenity you can think of: Nespresso machine, safe, minibar, DVD player, speakers…

If you value the convenience of being relatively close to “where everything’s happening” yet in a quiet area—and, of course, having the certainty that you’re staying at one of the best resorts in Boracay—this property from the Discovery group is a safe bet.

Henann Crystal Sands Resort (White Beach – Station 1)

Are you looking for a Boracay resort that won’t cost you a fortune but offers an unbeatable value for money? Then take a look at this branch of the Henann hotel group.

Henann Crystal Sands Resort is practically in Station 2, so in normal times you’ll find a lot more activity. Even so, it won’t be hard to get away from it all in one of its huge pools, including an infinity pool on the rooftop that will blow your mind. From there you can admire gorgeous White Beach and the Tablas Strait from above with a San Miguel or one of the cocktails from the Crystal Pool Bar, located in the water.

Choose between a deluxe or premier room—both spacious and functional. If you want to wake up to the joy of gazing at one of the best beaches in the Philippines, the premier with beach view should be your pick. Afterwards, nothing like breakfast at their super‑varied buffet!

The District Boracay (White Beach – Station 1)

Another solid choice on this list of the best beachfront resorts in Boracay is The District. Right in Station 2, it’s perfect for those who want everything at hand without sacrificing exclusivity and rest, since all rooms face the pool located at the heart of the hotel. You’ll also find a gym and a beautiful rooftop bar‑restaurant where you can enjoy a boodle fight, the meal served at Filipino celebrations.

As for the rooms, if we had to choose, we’d go for the charming deluxe suite, which has an extra room with a kitchen and direct pool access. Unfortunately, none of the rooms at this Boracay resort have direct beach views, but other things—like the incredibly friendly staff—make up for it.

Best resorts in Boracay: Bulabog Beach

As we told you above, Bulabog Beach is one of Boracay’s most important beaches. Located on the other coast, if you visit between November and March you’ll likely encounter some wind, rougher seas, and algae on the shore, so it’s best to avoid it if you’re not looking to kitesurf or windsurf. Even so, Bulabog is a good base for exploring the island, as it’s a 10‑minute walk from Station 2 of White Beach and, as you’ll see below, resort (and restaurant) prices are more affordable.

7Stones Boracay (Bulabog Beach)

This resort sits in the center of Bulabog Beach, so despite being on the opposite side from White Beach, it ensures you can walk there whenever you feel like it and also enjoy the peace of being in a less touristy, quieter area.

7Stones is one of the best resorts in Boracay for its impeccable service, its huge pool with sea views, but above all for the rooms. Super comfortable, all except the superior rooms are small apartments with a kitchen (fully equipped) and a hot tub in the bathroom, among other nice touches. Although the honeymoon suites are wonderful, if we had to choose, the 2‑bedroom suite with a rooftop pool is incredible.

Travelers give it a Booking score of 8,9 out of 10 mainly for its location and the friendliness of the staff, so it won’t be surprising if you feel right at home.

Levantin Boracay (Bulabog Beach)

If you want to know what the island was like 30 years ago—but with an extra dose of comfort without breaking the bank and a more personal touch—this Boracay resort is what you need. Located next to 7Stones, it guarantees easy access to both White Beach and the rest of Boracay’s attractions.

Levantin Boracay has just 15 rooms, divided into deluxe, superior, and family. Its decor won’t exactly blow you away, but the rooms are cozy and all have air conditioning, cable TV, and a safe.

As for facilities, this is the only resort on the list that can’t boast a pool, but we promise you won’t miss it with direct beach access, a bar (with quite a vibe), and a super friendly team. Plus, prices start at 36€ per night—what more could you ask for?
